Sigh...

Yes,yes,yes, I know, same old story! I'll get a real update posted one of these days..BUT
not today!  I have questions to pose, activities to write about, pictures to post, and much more.

Here's to hoping that this time I actually WILL resurrect this blog!!

Randomness

Crazy busy around here as usual!
 This week and next I work 6 days (Mon.-Sat,), since another one of my coworkers is in Haiti for two weeks.
I am next in chain of command so I have to open up....make sure everything gets done and suchlike. Not bad except for the fact that my alarm goes off EVERY day at 3:00 a.m or so. But then I again I REALLY don't mind the size of my paycheck at the end of it all!:) Am SO looking forward to Sunday...and my next real day off which will be sometime in the beginning of May.
  Can't wait for spring to arrive....It's April but just a few days ago we got snow!
In September I"ll have another niece:)
Other highlights so far this year:

• Went to Florida for 1 week with 2 of my sisters. It was AWESOME. And I even came back with a tan!
• Went to California with my sister. brother-in-law and their 4 children! It was great....but not as relaxing as the Florida trip. Lots of gorgeous mountains!
• Got to take pictures and a friends wedding....I LOVE doing the small details!
• My camera broke so...I got to buy a new one (not such a GREAT highlight!:) And I love it!
• I can't forget... driving to work with 10-14 inches of snow on the road...completely unplowed in my car (I have a '96 Camry) at 4:00 a.m...I did make it...to everyones surprise! NOT my idea of fun. Next time I think I'll take my mom's Explorer or my dads truck.

Today

Today I am working on a diaper cake for for one of my aunts. She says shes not creative so....I get to do it.
It's for my cousins fiancés baby shower. I've never done one before so I'm interested to see how it'll turn out. Got to run into town and pick up a few things I need to finish. It needs to be done by Saturday afternoon...and I work everyday until then...so I'm hoping by working on it after work each day, it'll be finished by then. And yes....I am a known procrastinator. I'll sign off for now.....:)

I know...2 posts in the same day that actually say something...a shocker! Just wanted to post a recipe that is on of my family's favorites. I have several other favorite recipes that I will post later on.

Apple Dip

(a.k.a Fruit Dip..but we use mostly for apples!:)

4-8oz. pkgs cream cheese, softened

11/2 cups sour cream

1/2 -1 c honey (depends on your preferred sweetness level- I

usually use about 1/2 or a little more.)

1 t. vanilla

1/2 -3/4 t. real orange extract

1 T. freshly grated lemon peel

1/2 c. whipping cream
your choice of fruit.....I usually do apples!:)

Cream the cream cheese until it is smooth. (This is a VERY important step.

otherwise you will end up with lumpy fruit dip...and you just can't have that!)

Mix in the sour cream,honey,vanilla extract,orange extract, and lemon peel.

Mix well, scraping the sides of the bowl. Add whipping cream and mix well,

just until slightly fluffy.Scrape into serving dish.Garnish with more lemon peel if desired.

Serve with your choice of fruit. Enjoy this fattening fruit dip to your heart's content!:)
